Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell direct to the public?

Yes we supply to the end clients, by doing so we can ensure you get the best service and price. By cutting out the middleman and passing the savings on to you.

What is a template?

A template is an exact replica of the requiredgranite worktops. Taking all accurate measurements of the kitchen units and cut outs for hobs and sinks, all the shaping and overhang required. This is then used to manufacture the granite worktops ensuring a precise and accurate cutting of the granite for a perfect work surface installation.

Beware of some companies who claim they do not need to template before fitting, and cut on site using mobile equipment on the installation day. Using hand held grinders and polishers in your kitchen or living room can often resort in having to chisel the walls and needing to scribe the back of the granite edge to install the work surface. Resulting in very poor quality work surfaces plus a lot of dust, mess and noise.

A top quality Granite worktop when finished to the highest standard requires accurate templating before installation. Our cutting and polishing is carried out on the latest precision machinery in our dedicated and bespoke manufacturing facility, ensuring a perfect fit and a superior finish.

What must I have on-site when you arrive to do the templating survey?

Before the survey you need to ensure all cabinets are level, have sufficient braces and are secured firmly to the wall. Make sure you know the final location of sinks, hobs, taps or any other fittings required and have these available on site. Please ensure after the survey cabinets are not moved as the measurements taken during the survey are crucial for a perfect worktop installation. Any changes after the survey can cause significant delays and incur extra charges.

I am just replacing my existing worktops, do they have to be removed before you template?

In most cases we can template directly on top of the existing worktops, in very rare circumstances they may have to be removed before we come to template. If in doubt please call 0800 432 0267 for further clarification.

How ever we would recommend for a more accurate finish that you have your existing worktops removed before we come to template.

Please note when we return to install the new granite worktops the existing worktops need to be removed also sinks, taps and hobs should all be disconnected before we arrive to fit.

Can we plaster the walls after you have templated?

No, this needs to be done before templating. Tiling should be done after the worktops have been installed.

Do I need to be there when you template and install?

Yes, you need to be on-site to confirm cut out position, overhang and joint positions, also to answer any questions we might have. The same goes for fitting, so that you can confirm that you are happy with the finished product.

How long from the templating will it take to fit my worktops?

We normally deliver and fit worktops within 3-7 working days (due to Covid-19 lead times have increased) after the survey.

How can I get a quote?

Simply type your measurements with the preferred granite or quartz colour using our on-line quotation. Or if you prefer you can fax or email your kitchen plan with your contact details and we will be happy to give you a quote.

How accurate is the Online Quote?

The price calculated using the online quote is a very accurate guide price, which will only change if when we come out to template, the measurements and your requirements change from the original online quote.

How do I place an order?

Once you are happy with the quote submit your details on the online quote page or email your order. A member of staff will be in contact with you to confirm the order and arrange a survey.

When do I Pay?

An Initial deposit of 10% is required once you place the order. A further 25% is required after we have done the templates and just before we cut the worktops. The remainder balance is due before installation.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (excluding American Express), bank transfer or cash.
